My Airport Uniform
A personal note from our co-founder, plus her go-to pieces for travel.
As a frequent flier, Luxeire has completely changed the way I dress for flights.
I used to wear sweats every time I traveled. I looked like I had just rolled out of bed and always felt like I needed to change as soon as I arrived—especially if I was landing somewhere much warmer or cooler, or heading straight to dinner, a meeting, or an event.
Now, I always fly in a full Luxeire suit.
Nothing else about my travel routine has changed, but I look ten times more put together and have so much more flexibility once I land. I even get compliments at the airport—something I never thought was possible in the TSA line.
The best part? I'm just as comfortable.
Our suit separates are surprisingly functional for travel. I can fit my phone, wallet, passport, and AirPods in my blazer pockets, and because airplane temperatures are unpredictable, I always wear a blazer or lightweight jacket. Underneath, I'll layer one of our turtlenecks or another Luxeire base layer with a button up or lightweight sweater, paired with either the High Rise Flare Trouser or the High Rise Cropped Trouser.
It's comfortable enough for a long flight, layered enough when the cabin gets chilly, and light enough that when I land somewhere like Florida or Mexico, I don't immediately feel like I need to change.
I used to make fun of people who dressed up for the airport because they always looked uncomfortable. Now I've become that person—but I'm secretly more comfortable than the woman in yoga pants.
Even on long-haul flights, this is still my uniform. Our technical fabrics help me feel fresher after traveling, and I actually wear everything I flew in during the rest of my trip. Since every piece mixes with the rest of what I pack, I haven't checked a bag in years.
That's exactly why we designed Luxeire this way. We wanted clothing that could look polished in every situation—even the airport—without sacrificing comfort or functionality.
If you have a trip coming up, or you're a frequent flier like I am, these are the pieces I reach for every time.
